Google Ads

What are Google Ads and why do we use this service?

We use Adsense from Google LLC to reinvest the revenue generated there in the project, for example to provide our domain and other costs incurred by the further development of Projekt City. Nevertheless, we try not to impair the user experience and to provide pleasant advertising.

How do I set my preferences?

If you are in the European Economic Area and are visiting our website for the first time, you will see a banner from Google asking for your consent. You have the option of either selecting “Agree” or adjusting your settings under “Manage options”.
By clicking “Agree”, you consent to Google and its partners processing data for various purposes, including

• Use of reduced data to select advertisements and content
• Creating profiles for personalized advertising and content
• Measuring advertising performance and the performance of content
• Analysis of target groups through statistical evaluations

If you click on “Manage Options”, a menu will open in which you can customize the various purposes of use and allow or reject certain providers for advertising purposes.
If you deactivate a purpose of use, this means that your data will not be processed for this purpose by any provider.
At the bottom of the menu you will find the “Provider settings”, where you can view the providers that may use your data to provide services. If you reject a provider, this may mean that this provider will no longer use your data for its purposes.
Next to each provider, the type of consent they are asking for is displayed and you have the option to access the provider's privacy policy. You can give or withdraw your consent at any time. However, some providers do not ask for your consent, but process your personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest.
You will also find the options “Accept all” and “Confirm selection”. If you click on “Accept all”, you consent to Google and its partners using your data for the purposes mentioned above, among others.
If you click on “Confirm selection”, only the purposes and providers you have selected will be taken into account.

How can I change my preferences?

You can customize your preferences for Google Ads at any time. To do this, click on the text “Privacy and cookie settings” at the bottom of a page and the menu mentioned above will open.

I do not want to see ads!

We fully understand that advertising - in whatever form - can be annoying and are prepared to do without advertising if you don't want it. There are many ways to block ads on websites:

• Use an AdBlocker, such as uBlock Origin or Adblock Plus
• For iPhone, iPads, MacBooks and other Apple products: install a DNS with AdBlock or use a VPN (Virtual Private Network)
• Use the integrated function of your browser to block ads
